156. One, who opens, no one can shut

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth
I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. ” Rev 3:7-8 (KJV)

He is the one, that He opens no one can shut. Which means, what God opens no one can shut? If God has opened a door in your life then no one can close it. Whether it be the privilege of salvation, eternal life, worldly blessings, or spiritual blessings whatever it may be if God opens no one can shut. If He opens no one can shut and when He shuts no one can open. We see in the Holy Scriptures that Saints of God in their journey of faith have encountered many trials and tribulations. Any servant of God who while carrying the cross for the Lord have relentlessly toiled and underwent suffering have seen the hand of God, His presence and grace to that extent in their lives. During those days when Saint Peter was thrown into the prison, Christians were subject to a lot of torture.

Disciple James for preaching the Gospel of Jesus was beheaded. Since this has pleased the people of those days King Herod has put Saint Peter also in prison. He was chained and kept in the prison amidst 64 other prisoners. Herod planned to behead Saint Peter as well there by to gain glory as a great King among the people. But the Church was praying for Peter with great fervour. While the church was praying, there appeared an angel from heaven and when it patted Peter to wake him the fetters on his hands fell. The prison gates and the Iron Gate entrance to the town were thrown open by themselves when they reached them. When you read Acts chapter 12 all these events are very clearly mentioned. God is opening the door there. All the chains and fetters to imprison Peter just fell off. All the tightly shut doors of the prison were opened. God’s name is; One who opens that no one can shut. However much they tried to imprison Peter but on account of the prayers of the Church the door has been opened for the God’s servant. Is there any one who can shut the door that God has opened? Saint Peter was delivered from the prison.

In Acts chapter 16 you will notice that Saint Paul and Silas were in prison too. The One who opens that no one can shut has helped them and delivered them. When Paul and Silas were preaching the Gospel of Christ they were stripped naked, brutally beaten and thrown into prison where there feet were put into restraints. There bodies were full of bleeding wounds, and there hands were chained yet God’s servants even in such a dire state were singing, praising and praying to God.

“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. ” Acts 16: 25-26 (KJV)

The doors were opened by themselves. Those who were imprisoned their fetters were loosened. When you pray by this title you also will be delivered surely. Any one of you, are under bondage, or without freedom, or imprisoned, take this name and pray. He is the one who can open where no one can shut. The door He opens no one can shut. You will surely be delivered. For your sake the door will be opened. Many doubt that somebody might be a hindrance for them to enjoy the blessings that God bestows. They believe that somebody is casting an evil spell on them.

When I see such people I am terribly pained because they do not have the knowledge about God. What blessings God bestows on you no man can ever come in between.   In Muslim faith there is a saying: that on every grain you eat your name is written. What a faith! Because they believe that without the permission of the Almighty nothing would happen to them. Where as we, who hold the Holy Bible are full of doubts. People often imagine that somebody is scheming against them or that they are giving ugly stares and gnashing their teeth. These are all meaningless. One should learn to rest his head on the pillow of Gods’ promises and sleep peacefully. You should not be bewildered. As for myself I never doubt God or His word because I know for sure that I am in the hands of the all powerful God .If God opens any door for me no man can ever close it

Once I was returning after preaching in a Mennonite Church when one foreign lady came running to me. She was a servant of God. W e never knew each other before this. She can not understand Telugu language. Led by theHoly Spirit and in a prophetic manner she said ‘God will use you mightily and you will preach the gospel to the whole World. And the door that God has opened for you no man can ever shut. God will make you a powerful Prophetess and will lead you in paths you have never treaded before’ Praise be to God! because God’s works are like that.

We as believers must put our hope in God’s word and His promises and go forward in this journey of faith because it is God who leads us and walks before us.

God’s servant Daniel was not afraid when he was thrown into the lions den. God’s servants are never scared of suffering. Though they are as human as any body else and may have natural fear yet on account of prayer they overcome such fear. Though Daniel was thrown into the lions den yet he did not fear seeing the lions. Where as King Nebuchadnezzar came to the den and said ‘Daniel to save you my power is not sufficient but the God you worship daily will surely deliver you. God if He decides to help someone he will surely do and to stop that it is not possible for any power what so ever.  That’s the reason we as Christians should never abuse others nor be cross with our relatives.

People sometimes say, we would have shined in our lives long ago but some people are suppressing us. Do not be fooled, nobody can crush you because if God opens a door to adorn you in a high position in life whomsoever and however much they might try can never close that door. Hence you should always pray with faith. As a child of god sheltering and finding refuge under God’s mighty wings, continue in this journey of faith. Because the door that God has opened no one can ever close.
